Gay Marriage: Three things your church must do immediately to protect itself

(The Stand) Without question, the Supreme Court’s decision to impose homosexual marriage as a constitutional right is disappointing. There was a time when the Court rightly bestowed a great respect for America’s Christian heritage and to the Creator on which the Declaration of Independence was based. Sadly, those times are passed.

As Christians, we know God, in His great wisdom, established the institution of marriage as only between one man and one woman. Not even the Supreme Court can change that.

Because of judicial activism, Christian ministries can and should take steps to protect their religious freedoms. No longer can even churches believe they are immune to the compulsive and aggressive nature of the homosexual agenda.

"I Forgive You"

(Faith & Freedom) While Gallup reported last week that "religion" is in decline in America---the Truth and Light of Christianity is shining brightly in the darkness of hatred and violent killings that occurred 4 days ago in a church Bible study.

Supreme Court`s Marriage Ruling is Shocking Abuse of Power, Will Never Be Accepted

(FRC) WASHINGTON, D.C. – Family Research Council (FRC) President Tony Perkins responded today to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision forcing the people in all 50 states to embrace same-sex "marriage," regardless of their votes to define marriage in their states as a man-woman institution.

Of the decision FRC President Tony Perkins said:

"Five justices on the Supreme Court have overturned the votes of 50 million Americans and demanded that the American people walk away from millennia of history and the reality of human nature.

"In reaching a decision so lacking in foundation in the text of the Constitution, in our history, and in our traditions, the Court has done serious damage to its own legitimacy."

The Heresy of Racial Superiority — Confronting the Past, and Confronting the Truth

(Albert Mohler) Among Christians, the word  heresy must be used with care and precision. Not every doctrinal error is a heresy, though all doctrinal error is to be avoided. A heresy is the denial or corruption of a Christian doctrine that is central to the faith and essential to the gospel. The late theologian Harold O. J. Brown defined heresy as a doctrinal error “so important that those who believe it, who the church calls heretics, must be considered to have abandoned the faith.”

Why We Celebrate the Magna Carta

(Breakpoint) June 15th marks the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta—a document that has been called “the foundation of the freedom of the individual against the arbitrary authority of the despot.”

As you might expect, Great Britain is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the anniversary. And as you might also expect, the celebrations are omitting an important detail: the role of Christianity in “the foundation of freedom.”

80-Year-Old Couple Takes on Arizona Town and Wins at the Supreme Court

(AllianceDefendingFreedom)  In January, Gilbert, Arizona couple Pastor Clyde and Ann Reed listened while the Supreme Court discussed their small church and their equally small signs that invite people to come and enjoy Sunday morning services.

“I never dreamed my small church signs would be a topic for the Supreme Court…” said Pastor Reed following the oral arguments. “This whole experience has been shocking to me—our signs inviting people to church are very important yet are treated as second-class speech. We aren’t asking for special treatment; we just want our town to stop favoring the speech of others over ours.”

After today’s Supreme Court decision, equal treatment is exactly what Pastor Reed can expect going forward.

Which Way, Evangelicals? There is Nowhere to Hide

(Albert Mohler) This is a moment of decision, and every evangelical believer, congregation, denomination, and institution will have to answer. There will be no place to hide. The forces driving this revolution in morality will not allow evasion or equivocation. Every pastor, every church, and every Christian organization will soon be forced to declare an allegiance to the Scriptures and to the Bible’s teachings on marriage and sexual morality, or to affirm loyalty to the sexual revolution.
