Missing the Power of the Cross

(FRC) Just a little over a month ago, the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments on a World War I monument honoring 49 men who died in the war to end all wars. The memorial, built by the American Legion in 1925, is just 10 miles from SCOTUS in Bladensburg, Maryland. As they have in most towns, the American Humanist Society sued the city...  (Read More)

(Open Doors USA) Christians remain one of the most persecuted religious groups in the world. While Christian persecution takes many forms, it is defined as any hostility experienced as a result of identification with Christ. Christian torture remains an issue for believers throughout the world including the risk of imprisonment, loss of home and assets, physical torture, beheadings, rape and even death as a result of their faith.  (Read More)

Christianity No Longer Welcome at Yale? 6 Questions with a Yale Law School Student

(Alliance Defending Freedom) What is the climate for free speech like on campus?

“Tense” would be an understatement. My conservative friends and I are routinely subject to cyberbullying and harassment. Whenever we send out a school-wide email announcement about a guest speaker, our peers frequently respond with condemnations and long diatribes about why the speaker is evil.  (Read More)

Academic and Corporate Wokeness

(Breakpoint) In February, the Yale Law School chapter of the Federalist Society invited Kristen Waggoner of the Alliance Defending Freedom to speak on campus.

This, to put it mildly, didn’t go over well with some of the law school’s more “woke” students. Using talking points straight from the Southern Poverty Law Center, students protested Waggoner’s visit, calling the ADF a “homophobic, transphobic hate group.”  (Read More)

Criminalization of Christianity is on America`s horizon

(OneNewsNow) Don`t be shocked when many "Christians" cheer the criminalization of Christianity. The number of supposedly Christian individuals whose moral compasses are calibrated to the spirit of the age rather than the authority of scripture has become astounding.  (Read More)

At School, a Test of Wills over Privacy

(FRC) Biological boys may be walking into the bathroom, but in some states -- teenage girls are walking out. From Nebraska to Alaska, students are tired of fighting school leaders to feel safe. And if local districts won`t listen to their concerns, and parents won`t stand up to school officials, then maybe they`ll pay attention to the student protests.  (Read More)

At Foley Gala, the Media Invites Disunity

(FRC) This country`s been through some tough times, but if there`s one thing we could always fall back on, it was that -- no matter how fiercely we disagreed -- we were always united where it counted: as Americans. But in a day and age when common ground is shrinking by the day, even our identity is being tested. We`ve watched consensus issues turn contentious almost overnight.  (Read More)

Christopher Yuan on Holy Sexuality

(Breakpoint) There’s a line credited to C. S. Lewis that I often repeat: “The most dangerous ideas in a society are not the ones being argued but rather the ones that are assumed.” In our time, that saying perfectly describes the idea that our desires determine our identities.  (Read More)

California Wasn’t Forcing Churches to Pay for Abortions… Until Planned Parenthood Stepped In

(Alliance Defending Freedom) In 2014, the California Department of Managed Healthcare (DMHC) issued a mandate forcing churches and other religious organizations to pay for elective abortions in their healthcare plans. And if they were to sidestep the abortion mandate by not providing health insurance, they face crippling fines and penalties under Obamacare.  (Read More)

Where Does Your Representative Stand on Infanticide?

(Family Policy Alliance) It seems like an odd question to ask – surely anyone would be against infanticide, right??

Turns out, some in Congress have tried to vote on the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act nearly 30 times this year alone. Each time, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has blocked the entire House of Representatives from voting on it.  (Read More)
